At World Partnership for Development (WPD), we believe in creating opportunities for children, youth, and vulnerable families so that they can achieve their full potential. Our Sponsorship Program connects caring individuals, organizations, and donors with children and families in need, ensuring access to education, health, nutrition, and other essential services.

Here’s what we will do:

1. Support Education for Children

   • Provide school fees, uniforms, and learning materials for sponsored children.

   • Ensure children can attend school without financial barriers.
     Example: A child from a low-income family can go to school with all required books and uniforms.

2. Improve Health and Nutrition for Sponsored Families

   • Provide access to medical care, vaccinations, and nutritional support.

   • Educate families on healthy living and hygiene.
     Example: Ensuring a sponsored child receives routine check-ups and a balanced diet.

3. Provide Basic Needs and Household Support

   • Help families with essential items like food, clothing, and safe shelter.

   • Assist in situations of hardship or emergency.
     Example: A family receiving monthly food packages during difficult seasons.

4. Empower Families for Sustainable Livelihoods

   • Train parents and guardians in small businesses, agriculture, and income-generating activities.

   • Support families to become self-reliant while maintaining sponsorship benefits.
     Example: Teaching a parent how to start a small vegetable farm to earn income for the family.

5. Encourage Social and Personal Development

   • Support extracurricular activities like sports, arts, and leadership programs for children.

   • Promote confidence, skills, and opportunities for future success.
     Example: A sponsored child attending a local art or sports club to develop talent and confidence.

6. Build a Strong Connection Between Sponsors and Beneficiaries

   • Regularly update sponsors about their sponsored children or families.

   • Encourage communication to foster relationships and motivation.
     Example: Sending letters or photos to sponsors showing the child’s progress in school.
